About the Foundation

Syndrome of Love Foundation works for the future where the society knows about abilities and needs of people with Down syndrome, and has respect for their personality and supports them. We give people with Down syndrome an opportunity to go in for sports, create, and volunteer, we help forward their employment, and tell the society about people with Down syndrome with the help of information projects.

Families that have a child born with Down syndrome receive free psychological, educational and social assistance from our founder and partner, Downside Up Charity Foundation.

Professional annual award in events and live communications BEMA! (Best Experience Marketing Awards)

2022 — the “In Simple Words” project to create a barrier-free communicative environment took 3rd place as the “Best Social Project”.

2020 — Project “Kilimanjaro. I Can!” was a finalist of the BEMA award, nomination “Social Project”.

2019 – charitable project #FOOTBALLFORTHEGOOD took 3rd place as the “Best Social Event”

Snob project award — “Made in Russia”

In November 2021, the “In Simple Words” project to create a barrier-free communication environment became the winner in the nomination “Man Is a Man to Man”.

2019 – charitable project “Kilimanjaro. I Can!”, implemented jointly by the Love Syndrome Foundation and Kaspersky Lab, took first place in the “Society” nomination.

Annual award “Golden Cat” for achievements in raising funds for charitable and social projects

2020 – the Foundation’s project “Kilimanjaro. I Can!” won first prize, and project “Cycling for the Good” was a finalist of the Golden Cat.

Gratitude of the Mayor of Moscow

February 2021 — Yulia Lavricheva, General Director of the Love Syndrome Foundation, and Anna Portugalova, Member of the Board of the Love Syndrome Foundation and Director of the Downside Up Charity Foundation, accepted the Gratitude of the Mayor of Moscow for their contribution to the development of civil society institutions  in Moscow and for community work.

Russian annual professional award in the field of sports marketing in Russia MARSPO AWARDS

2020 — Project “IRONHOME, triathlon in conditions of self-isolation” won the silver in the “Best Low-Budget Project” nomination. 

Project “Moscow mini football competition among teams of people with Down syndrome” is a silver winner in the “Best social project” nomination.
